Step 2 – Job Responsibilities
We are seeking a full time paint prep and entry level powder coating technician to join our team. Part of our intricate and artistic railing designs involves the final finishes.
Our railings are hand crafted from start to finish and the paint prep has an element of production and quality control with it. Prior to sending a railing to the spray booth, your job is to inspect it for burrs, marks, grease, spots, dots and anything that would otherwise come across as an imperfection.
With this position you will also learn how to powder coat and put final finishes on our railings.
Regular duties consist of:
- Lifting and moving parts weighing up to 50lbs
- Reviewing plans to ensure all parts and pieces of the assembly are present.
- Cleaning and inspecting each piece before sending to the spray booth.
- Applying finish coat to lights.
- Moving efficiently and effectively to keep up with the rapid pace of production.
Tools used:
- – Scouring pads
- – Acetone
- – Hand tools
- – Handheld torch
Compensation:
- $13.00 to $15.00 /hour
- Bonus & overtime available
